Exalted Moon Warrior, by James Stone
My partner practices Yoga, ‘holding’ the moon under the Milky Way while a faint glow of the Aurora Australis (Southern Lights) illuminates the distant horizon.
With any long exposure shot, wide open with a wide angle (14mm) lens, the moon looks like a bright round point source of light rather than with any detail. In a dark sky location like this, the Milky Way can be clearly visible even with a bright moon, from memory this was a waning crescent. Again, with a wide lens, anything from just a meter or so in front of the lens is crisp and in focus, all the way to infinity hence the detail in the foreground.
