Comet C/2013 US10 (Catalina), José J. Chambó Bris

Comet C/2013 US10 (Catalina) imaged on January 13, 2016 in a wide field.

Its long ionic tail is projected toward west to a distance of more than 6 degrees, but more faint and with less details that in my previous image taken only two days ago; however the dust tail more short and brilliant toward south barely changed. Aside from several small galaxies scattered by field, in the upper right highlights the classical spiral galaxy M51: the Whirlpool Galaxy.

Acquisition details:
Takahashi FSQ ED 106mm
f/5.0 & SBIG STL-11000M
mosaic 3x(L:2×300s + RGB:1x60s Bin2)
